what went right & what didnt what il change

If I had to do this again I think I would change the style of clip I used. I would use something much shorter as I feel I may have possibly given myself a very tricky task as the clip was 50 seconds long. I would try and manage my time more efficiently.

I think the animation of the juggling was done very well, and I am also very pleased with the final edit.

I was unhappy with the fact that the schedule was given to us just three weeks before the due date. I feel that writing a schedule after doing over half the project already seemed some what pointless as quite a bit of work had already been done. I feel I would have benefited more if the schedule had been given to us sooner, as it's worth 20% of the final grade.

Forrest Gump & The Clown

FInal Cut Pro, Sound & After Effects

After finishing the animation, I put this into After Effects to do masking of the tree the clown goes behind. After this I imported the scene into Final Cut Pro where I added the sound clip of the circus theme over the top, which I then exported into a Quick Time movie.

lighting!!!

I had to work on the lighting to make the clown in the scene look as if the clown was actually in the shot rather than animation added over the top. I have also conducted some research into this on Moodle, which I found has helped.

final touches

I am now adding further animation to the scene. I am animating the juggling and also making the clowns use of the unicycle flow easier.

a week before deadline!!

ok i have decided that i will cut my scene short a bit i would prefer to do less animation but to a better standard then do all of the clip and have some half hearted animation in it i hope it will be fine because the scene itself is still 28seconds. i noticed today i had bite off more then i could chew so to speak. il still have the unicycle and juggling in my scene.

flip reverse it!

there is a part of my scene when the clown forward flips of a bus so was looking a some research to help me with this in Maya i come across a website that showed how to step by step it was very helpful to me.

just a few screen shoots to keep the blog up to date on what i'm doing i'm animating hard at the moment, but still got plenty of work to do.

just a little update

i'm animating the scene for this project with a lot of information in it so there's a lot of work to get done in a short period of time. i got to animate the shoot, light the scene, and add to final cut pro for the finishing touches, a lot of work ahead of me.
